Well I was talking to my g/f's step dad (soon to be father-in-law) Gene Baxter who runs an insurance place about the thread previously posted in here. I knew that he insured classic cars so I asked him about Haggarty Insurance which was the main provider talked about. It just so happens it is his major competitor.

I am not an employee of his, but I thought I would throw his business out there as he says he can beat their insurance hands down. He is a good guy and insures a lot of people. He will have a booth at the Roadster Show if anyone os going and wanted to check him out.

He is also into classics and is currently fixing up his Ford Fairlane (forgot the year). He also insures regular cars and homes/business etc.

Contact Info:
You don't have to call if you please, but if you humor him it will be brownie points for me! Who knows you might end up with a nice deal on insurance.
Thanks for looking Pilots!
[ Post your bitches, Bitches! ]

Heres the way I see it. Both Mike and Gary have been informed of the way Tim treats customers. I have had numerous conversations with Mike and have had many comments from Gary. They both know that Tim is killing there business but can't find a replacement for him. Mike even had an ad out on the samba for a mechanic. I think that in the end this thread will ultimatly end up with all of us boycotting RMF. I know that I will never ever have Tim work on anything I own again. I can tell you Troy will never take anything there again. Duston probally won't ever go back. And if this is how he treats us, amagine how he treats the other customers that we don't hear about. I agree with Josh on this one. Tim just slit his own throat. And if I was Chad and had him working on one of my motors and he said what he did to some of my friends I would go down there and grab all my shit and tell Tim to shove it up his ass and take my work elsewhere. And I would let Mike and Gary know exactly why I will no longer be giving them my business.
And on the other hand, if Tim and all his dope smoking friends don't like the BPA thats just fine with me. Fuck them. I really don't want to hang with that crowd and I definatly don't miss them at lunch on Friday. Tuck Fim.
Wow- had no idea that was a serious question. Never thought for a second there would be prize money when families race 5hp. go-carts. Side bets maybe. Sean- the thread's still intact- quit being a Timocrit.

[ Post your bitches, Bitches! ]

Ah the plot thickens... Your points are well-received Josh. If Gary saw the whole thing- then asked you "why?..." then he is (A) not championing his employee and (B, worse) he is at the very least perpetuating a situation with a client. Sounds like both need a beating. I'll continue to look at RMF first for parts (only through MM). If you choose not to recommend RMF entirely- feel free to omit posts when others seek parts. I think I'll refer airscreams to Tim- those two should hook up.

Tim (and so many others) are attracted to industries/vocations like mechanics because of inabilities in social environments. Trying to explain his behavior to him elicits that "I know, I know" of a twelve Y.O. boy. I probably do him no favors by ripping him- then turning and walking away. I've engaged in your similar dialog- and he gets a glazed look- then resorts to a couple "ha ha"s and seeks an "out". You know how nervous he gets- and in three minutes, he's saying, "I got a new Westy cot, wanna see?"

I honestly hope you never resort to violence- because it truly is matching a 12YO's wit. Like you- I save violence when I need it in full reserve- and only with something important- Tim is not. I don't have near the money invested that you and Bethany have- I've only had tuneups and a repaired rocker assbly done by Tim. What bothers me more than the $s is when my friends get fucked- that's when I get lit. Funny how we defend others better than ourselves sometimes.

I know I will try to help send as much money through that place (in parts sales, simple stuff, etc.) and into Mike's hands before an eventual (and likely very soon) devestiture on his part makes my RMF interest cease. I hate sitting back as someone dives as fast as Tim- his circle is very very small right now. The thing I don't want is for Tim's dive to effect Mike's ability to gracefully bow out of the RMF business.

great thread by the way. b
